The current batch of executive orders (2/20/2025) is at best terrible. The Executive branch is blatantly overstepping the authority given to it by taking control of independent agencies tasked by the Legislative branch to keep our financial system operating well. Not only is this move destabilizing to our economy and distupts our system of checks and balances, it also impacts the average American when larger organizations are taking advantage of them.
That, in conjunction with the tariffs, will likely drive the economy (that, currently, is the envy of the world) off a cliff.
We can only hope that the elected representatives in Congress will wake up and prevent this power grab from happening!
